Objectives: A modern hospital needs skilled professionals and support staff to enable best of services to be rendered. It then becomes important that medical, nursing and auxiliary professionals are left to concentrate in areas of work where their skills are best suited. Therefore Assistants in hospitals and support staff should also be trained in the functions, obligations and care rendered at hospitals. This course is designed to prepare Hospital Assistants with basic knowledge and skill in patient care in order to provide basic bedsides care and to assist registered nurses in delivery of nursing care in the hospital. This will improve the overall professional quality of any healthcare system.
